We are here to help animals and pet owners across North West London and South Hertfordshire.
Our local Branch provides practical animal welfare support, including help with veterinary costs, low-cost preventative care, support for stray and feral cats, and caring for and rehoming animals in need.
Is an animal in immediate danger or suffering?
If you need to report cruelty, neglect, an injured animal or an animal in immediate distress, please contact the national RSPCA on 0300 1234 999.
Our local Branch does not investigate cruelty complaints or operate the national emergency service, so contacting the national RSPCA directly will help avoid any delay.
Struggling with veterinary costs?
We know that unexpected veterinary bills can be very difficult to manage.
If you live within our Branch area and are on a low income or receiving means-tested benefits, we may be able to contribute towards the cost of essential veterinary treatment.
We do not have our own veterinary clinic, but we have a limited fund available to help local pet owners in financial difficulty.
If you’re in our area, please contact us to talk through your circumstances and find out whether we may be able to help.

Help with neutering and preventative care
Preventative veterinary care can make an enormous difference to an animal’s health and wellbeing – and can help avoid more serious problems later.
We provide low-cost support for neutering and may also be able to help local pet owners access microchipping and vaccinations.
Neutering helps prevent unwanted litters and can reduce the risk of a number of health and behavioural problems. It is also an important part of tackling the number of unwanted animals needing rescue and rehoming.
If cost is preventing you from getting your pet neutered or accessing basic preventative care, please contact us to find out what support is currently available.
Found a stray cat?
A cat you don’t recognise isn’t necessarily homeless. They may have an owner nearby or could have been missing for some time.
We can advise you on checking for an owner, including checking for a microchip, using a paper collar and reporting the cat as found.
If the cat is sick or injured, please call the national RSPCA on 0300 1234 999.
If the cat appears healthy, visit our Lost & Found page for advice or contact our team on 020 8966 9688.
Where a cat genuinely has no owner, we may be able to help depending on their circumstances and the space available in our care.
Feral and community cats
We work with local communities to help manage populations of feral and community cats humanely.
Our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) work involves safely trapping cats, arranging neutering and appropriate veterinary care, and returning suitable cats to their established territory.
Neutering helps prevent repeated litters and improves the long-term welfare of feral cat populations.
Need to rehome a cat?
We understand that circumstances can change and sometimes people can no longer care for their cat.
Please contact us to discuss your situation. We will talk through the options with you and, where appropriate and where we have capacity, we may be able to take a cat into our care for rehoming.
Our spaces are limited and animals with the greatest welfare needs may need to be prioritised, but we will always try to offer advice.
Caring for and rehoming animals
We care for animals at our catteries and through our network of foster homes, providing everything they need while they are with us – including veterinary treatment, food, care and attention.
When they are ready, we work carefully to find them suitable new homes.
If you are thinking about adopting, visit our Adoption pages to meet the animals currently looking for homes and find out how our adoption process works.
Animal welfare advice
Sometimes you may simply need advice.
Our team can provide guidance on local animal welfare issues and, where we are not the right organisation to help, we will try to point you towards another service that may be able to assist.
We can also provide animal welfare talks for schools, community organisations and other local groups.
Are you in our area?
We support people and animals in Brent, Harrow, Hillingdon north of the A40, Watford, Bushey, Oxhey, Rickmansworth, St Albans and Radlett.
